How to Buy WETH with Fiat Using MetaMask to Purchase NFT Trading Cards

NFT-tradingcards.biz uses the Polygon blockchain and WETH to buy cards and MATIC (POL) to pay for gas fees

1. Within Meta Mask, Switch to the Polygon Network (NFT-tradingcards.biz use the Polygon blockchain)
   
2. Add Polygon to MetaMask (once)
   a. Open MetaMask → Networks dropdown → Add Network.
   b. Choose Polygon from the list (MetaMask autofills the RPC URL).
   
3. Switch Networks
   a. After Polygon is added, click the Networks dropdown and select Polygon Mainnet.
   b. You’ll now see MATIC (Polygon’s gas token) as the default balance.
   
4. Buy Polygon WETH
   a. Click Buy in MetaMask again (still on Polygon).
   b. Choose an on-ramp provider that supports the Polygon network (Transak, MoonPay, Banxa, etc.).
   c. Select WETH (Polygon) as the asset, pay with your card or bank transfer, and complete KYC.
   d. The WETH you receive is already on Polygon — perfect for NFT-TradingCards.biz listings that require it.
   
5. Top Up a Little MATIC for Gas
   a. Most on-ramps let you buy MATIC in the same checkout.
   b. A few dollars’ worth (≈0.1 MATIC) is enough for several transactions.
   
6. Buy Your Card
   a. Go to NFT-TradingCards.biz, connect MetaMask (still on Polygon), and complete the Buy Now flow.
   b. Approve in MetaMask — gas is paid in MATIC OR POL, and NFT Card payments are use WETH (Polygon).
