Once you are logged in, you can create your first NFT Trading Card using a template. The templates can be found under the card ideas tab.

Templates are pre-scripted designs that have all the elements loaded on individual layers. They are pre-populated. So, you just select the one you want to use.

Let us start with this one. This is a basketball theme but does not have to be. Once you start changing images, you can make it a hockey, skiing, musical or volleyball card.

All the elements that make up the template are all on separate layers. Layers make it easy to move elements on the stage. Click the layers panel button to view all the layers.

Upload your image, by using the Upload Design button. This will prompt you to locate the image and upload it to the stage.

When the image is loaded to the stage it is placed at the very top of the layers panel. after it loads, you can edit it by changing the color, adding a tint, cropping it, or removing some of the colors in the image.

We’re just going to leave it the way it is.

When you upload a new image, you will notice that the new image will always load as the top layer. That means it sits on top of all the other layers. All the other layers that make up the card might be hidden because they are all under the new image you uploaded. To get the new image in the right layer order, use the down arrow next to the new uploaded image. This will change the layer order.

Use the arrows to move the image down the layer’s palette, until you are satisfied with its position.

The basketball that was used in the template seems a little out of place so, let us just delete it.

By moving layers up and down we can position any element on the stage.

If we go back to the card creation tools menu you will see other elements you can add to the card. Here we can draw with our hand, should you choose. We can use a shapes library. We can do some background colors and add some overlays.

We can do all that stuff after we uploaded our image.

by moving the layers up and down you create different looks. Play with the layers until you satisfied with your new masterpiece.

Once the front of the card has been organized and is looking the way you want, you can concentrate on the back of the card. The back requires similar steps as the front.

Best Practices say to save the card and give it another review. When satisfied, continue with naming the card, adding a description, selecting the appropriate category, adding traits, and pricing the card.

That’s how you use a template to create an NFT Trading Card.
